Christmas at the Farm

Billings Farm & Museum brings old-fashioned cheer to Woodstock, VT, with family-friendly festivities throughout the entire holiday season, including a decked-out historic barn for family photo opportunities, gingerbread houses and horse-drawn rides.
Traditional nineteenth century decorations will adorn the 1890 Farm Manager’s House where visitors can take a self-guided tour. Guests can dip candles, make s’mores, and snowshoe, weather permitting, from December 4-5 and December 18 – January 2. (Billings Farm is closed Christmas Day.)

Billings Farm will be transformed by the nearby Woodstock Inn & Resort’s Master Gardener, Benjamin Pauly, who harvests natural materials to handcraft traditional décor. This year’s decorations include 14 outdoor lighted trees, three indoor decorated trees, 100 swags and wreaths with bows, a decorated sleigh, giant grapevine wreaths decorated with dried floral from the local Kelly Way Gardens, 5,000+ lights, and more.
See Billings Farm decorated in festive lights and toast s’mores by our fire pit. Coffee and hot cocoa are available to warm you up.
Weather permitting, take a snowshoe trek along our Ottauquechee River Trail. Bring your own snowshoes or rent from the Nordic Center or the Activity Center at the Woodstock Inn & Resort.
Sleigh rides are available from December 27-January 2, conditions permitting.
